New LEGO® sets typically retire within 2-3 years of release, making them hard to find once they're gone. Second-hand sets also cost significantly less than new, and reusing bricks keeps non-recyclable plastic out of landfill.
Yes, every LEGO® set sold by WeBuyBricks is 100% authentic. Our team inspects every brick, minifigure and accessory before a set is listed, and we never sell replicas, knock-offs or counterfeit bricks. If any non-LEGO® pieces are found during inspection, they're removed and replaced with genuine parts wherever possible.
Every set is inspected, verified and prepared by our team before being listed for sale. We check all LEGO® elements for authenticity and assess overall condition, including minifigures, accessories and any printed parts. If a set isn't fully complete or has any notable wear, it's clearly stated on the product page so you know exactly what you're getting.
We grade every set against a consistent set of criteria covering completeness, brick condition, minifigure presence and box condition (if included). Sets that are less than 100% complete, show significant wear, or have any missing elements are flagged clearly in the listing. For more details, see our acceptance guidelines.
Most of our used LEGO® sets are 100% complete and verified against the official parts list. On the occasions a set is sold with missing pieces, this is clearly stated on the product page. For larger items like a minifigure or a baseplate, we'll let you know exactly what's missing. For smaller parts, we'll simply note that we believe the set is missing some minor pieces, as we're not currently able to identify every individual missing element. We never knowingly sell a set as complete if it isn't.
Yes, minifigures are included whenever the original set came with them. When a set has all of its original minifigures, the listing will simply confirm that all original minifigures are included. We only ever send the genuine minifigures that came with that particular set and never swap in substitutes, so if any minifigures are missing, that's stated clearly on the product page before you buy.
Some of our second-hand LEGO® sets come with the original box, and some don't, but it's always made clear on the product page. Sets sold without a box are shipped securely in protective, gift-worthy packaging.

Some sets come with the original printed instruction booklet. If the printed manual isn't included, the listing will simply say 'Printed manual not included but can be downloaded from the LEGO® website.' The official LEGO® digital instructions are free to access on the LEGO® website or app, so you'll always be able to get hold of them. Whether physical instructions are included is clearly shown on each product listing.
Yes, every set is cleaned and checked by our team before it's packaged for dispatch. We wash the sets to remove dust, dirt and any residue so your LEGO® set arrives hygienic and ready to build or display. Occasionally, older pieces may show signs of age, such as slight discolouration, and this is noted in the listing where relevant.
Yes, we regularly list retired LEGO® sets in second-hand condition. Retired sets are LEGO® builds that are no longer produced by The LEGO® Group, which often makes them expensive or hard to find on collector marketplaces.
