Our packaging guidelines will help you protect your LEGO® sets during transportation, so your collection reaches us in the same condition you sent it. Take a look at our packaging dos and don'ts below…
Before you send us your unwanted LEGO® sets, check them over and make sure they meet our Acceptance Guidelines. It might be worth double checking the item numbers of your LEGO® sets to make sure you are sending the right ones.
Choosing the right box size will prevent your LEGO® sets from being damaged in transit. A box too small for your LEGO® sets could bend or break, whereas a box too big could collapse. Your box should weigh no more than 15kg and be no more than 120cm in length. If you add the two shortest dimensions and multiply them by two, the total calculation should be under 225cm.
The best way to avoid damaging any of your LEGO® sets in transit is by padding out your parcel box. Padding prevents your LEGO® sets from rattling around and reduces the risk of any damage from bumps and bangs. Use things like newspaper, bubble wrap, or foam inserts for the best results.
Ensure you use the correct the number of boxes. We calculate the correct number based on the weight of LEGO® sets.

Make sure your box is clear of old shipping labels or stickers, as this can cause confusion at the parcel shop. You don’t want your sets to end up getting delivered back to you!

Don't ship your LEGO® sets in flimsy or damaged boxes as it will likely sustain additional damage during transit. Ensure the box is in good shape and not worn out. It must be sealed properly, making sure any gaps are shut tight.
Printing out the same label and using it on more than one box may lead to parcels getting lost or not being collected.
Labelling your boxes as ‘fragile’ or ‘handle with care' doesn’t guarantee that they won’t get damaged. These stickers should not be used as a substitute for good packaging.
Choose the appropriate sized box for your items. Try not to under-fill boxes (these could collapse) and over-filled ones might burst open.
Never reuse old packaging without removing all previous labels and stickers.
Not to worry! The vast majority of drop-off points have a print-in-store service. Just refine your search to include ‘print-in-store’ options only, and your closest parcel shop will come up - no printer required.
