You may have spotted us recently in the Lancashire Telegraph, but things have been a bit hectic recently at WeBuyBricks HQ. What started as a normal Thursday turned into a World Record Attempt and a 12-foot swimming pool full of LEGO® bricks! If you missed it you can check out the process on our TikTok or Instagram!
Have you ever thought about what you would do with 2.5 tonnes of LEGO® bricks? We wanted to do something awesome, and what’s more awesome than ending summer with a plunge into a pool full of our favourite thing? We were celebrating the launch of the WeBuyBricks App, where you can weigh in your LEGO® bricks at home, post it to us for free and receive cash for your unwanted bricks. Not only does reselling your LEGO® bricks help to make you some extra money, but it also breathes new life into your old bricks and saves them from ending up on landfill.
Our local MP, Jake Berry, paid us a visit last week to take the plunge and said, “Up until now, there’s been no opportunity to recycle it, reuse it and re-love your old LEGO® bricks. It’s a first, not only for Rossendale, but for the entire country.” This is the first opportunity our customers have to recycle, reuse and re-love LEGO® bricks, whether you want to declutter and make some money or add to your collection, WeBuyBricks gives you the opportunity to save LEGO® bricks from landfill and help to make sure it is enjoyed over and over again, all around the world.
We filled the pool with LEGO® bricks to celebrate the launch of our app and the end of summer. It was great to get all our colleagues involved with such an exciting event and come together to celebrate the success of the company in its first three months.
It’s been a very busy three months since we launched our app, and we cannot wait to see the LEGO® bricks that come through our doors in the future. Thank you for helping us give all those LEGO® bricks a second chance.
